Joshua Holz is a filmmaker from New York. As a director, his films have received nominations at Oscars qualifying film festivals and top festivals featured in MovieMaker Magazine, Deadline Hollywood, and USA Today. He has directed, edited and produced work for clients including DAZED Magazine, W.W. Norton & Company, Interview Magazine, non-profits, and a Vimeo Staff Pick.
His graduate film thesis Another Night (2023) was awarded the Made in NY Grant and received nominations at the Academy Awards qualifying Rhode Island International Film Festival, Chelsea Film Festival, Canadian Screen Awards qualifying New York Shorts International Film Festival, and more.
His feature ‘Texas Driftwood’ western Vera is currently in development, hopefully shooting in his great-grandmother’s real hometown of Poetry, Texas.
In his free time, Joshua loves running, shooting with his trusty Nikon F3 film camera, and playing video games.
